We owe large collections of parentals that we cross to obtain new products. We just use traditional breeding methods. Thanks to the variability in our collections and the climate of our area, we are able to select types suitable for different climatic conditions and hereogeneous commercial needs. We think ourself lucky to contribute to show the infinite possibilities of Nature and every year we continue to wonder and prove the same enthusiasm as when we began.

Every year we produce new varieties of carnation and other products. Such varieties are available in trials to our clients. Our commercial partners are nurseries propagating production cuttings for growers or big companies multiplying in their facilities the production plants. At the end of the trials, the varieties that prove themselves suitable for the market are granted in license for propagation and/or sale. Licenses can be exclusive or not exclusive. Our varieties are encluded in the catalog of our clients with the suffix Hybgr o Nobgr for the varieties obtained by Dr. Nobbio. Ask information on the products of your interest, we will be glad to answer and eventually meet you. If you have a special need of a product not present in our programs, we are available to analyze the possibility of beginning new breeding programs. Depending by season, our trial fields are visible on appointment.

It was possible to buy flowers in the Ligurian Riviera since 1500, from then, thanks to the mild climate, floricolture became a relevant activity of the region. In the '900, Mr Quinto Mansuino decided to stop his activity as photographer to become a flower grower; his deep friendship with Domenico Aicardi and the teaching of him, brought Quinto to be one of the most affirmed breeder before and after the 2nd world war. He teached the art of breeding to his nephew Dr. Giacomo Nobbio, who passed to Hybrida his lines and his experience in breeding. Hybrida produces new varieties of standard, spray, micro and pot carnation and continued the inter-specific breeding plan of Dr Nobbio, completing the 50 years work of him and obtaining the Nobbio® Collection. Actually the breeding activity is enclosing also Dahlias, Aubrieta, Sages and other aromatic plants.
